It relates how he had a good life but felt something was missing until he met a mysterious old man who he called Socrates. Then his life began to change and a new peaceful way of life was opened up to him It really is an inspirational story that helps you learn to realize that in life there are no ordinary moments and peacefulness and spirituality are yours if you are open enough to receive it. It teaches how to live life to the fullest and remain happy and healthy. It really helped me to stop and smell the roses and stop running through life, whihc had me actually missing life. It is more than just a book, it is an experience and it does change your life for the better. there have been follow books and non-fiction books to help further the teaching and the movie is being released in 2007. i don't understand those people who hate it and think it is crap but I have met many who do. For me it will always be a great book the I read at least once a year. You should check it out and see if it will change your life as well.
