gprs

i have used airtel gprs... and i dont think its free... do you mean airtel live? airtel live is free, but you can access only the airtel portal on your mobile. but with gprs, you can access any wap pages on your mobile and any pages or websites on your computer. but you got to pay for that, a monthly fee for unlimited access. it is not particularly fast, even though they claim it is. depends a lot on where you are. if you are located at a place where there are many people using airtel gprs or even making calls on airtel phones then your speed would be slow. but you can get around 2Kilobyte 2 5-6 kilobyte per sec if you are lucky. sometimes it would be even slower. if you are using an edge phone then the speed might be a bit more faster. just call up customer care and get the settings for your mobile. they would also help you with configuring your computer, if you need further help just message me. i would be glad to help you with the settings.
