Do you think men are worse with credit cards?

My husband and I have been having problems for a while now, but were doing well for the last few weeks.. until last night that is. See, I had asked him what card he put groceries on- the bank card or the credit card. He had told me that he does not want to use the credit card if he doesn't have to, and we have (ok, only) $30 in the bank... but it's enough for milk, bread, etc. he flipped out, and to make a long story short, he slept on the couch. My husband IMO feels that it is really not that big of a deal, and I feel like we should not use credit cards unless we absolutely have to- like the gas card I can totally see using, because of the ridiculous cost of gas these days! Our store cards don't have too much on them- it's mostly just some regular type cards that went crazy on us. He tells me not to worry about it, he'll make himself in charge of the bills anyway (YIKES), and of course if I don't trust him, I must think he's pretty worthless. All I know is I'm a stay at home mom with no income of my own, and I can't help but worry about my future if something happens to him, or even to us if we got divorced. Where does this leave me? In a mountain of debt (right along with him LOL). He could be worse. He could be out buying boats and jet skis like my SIL's ex husband did, and racking up $20,000 in debt with the snap of a finger and not even telling her about it. Am I worried for nothing? I mean, as long as we're paying on time I still have good credit... I just want to LOWER our debt. Not increase it. And sometimes I see that he doesn't even look at what card he uses, so he starts racking it up with small purchases over time, making it into something bigger, and I'm stressing over it. He thinks I'm being stupid, I think he's being irresponsible.
