Has anyone here tried using Classmates.com to find their old friends?

I think this is the best website if you are looking to find your old high school classmates. I like this better than Myspace. If you have used it, what do you think? Have any luck finding anyone? I did reconnect with a couple of people and now keep in touch regularly with them after so many years.

I did the classmates. I found my first love from over 40 years ago. We are both married now, but had the same feelings, so we could not continue seeing eachother. We both were re located, yet found out we were only 25 miles from eachother.

no i havent used it.i tried finding my school on the website and couldnt.so have'nt found any old classmates yet.orkut helped me do that

Okay like I said in my discussion...hehe (I just have to get my two cents in here too, since I know this is where this discussion came from)...
Anyway lol I just can not get myself to pay the fee to be able to talk to people on there or see their profiles. Drives me nuts. Before I found myspace I wanted to talk to people and couldn't or couldn't see what they've been doing or how they look now. At least with myspace its free and I can get in contact with them and see pictures!!
I am such a picture person!

I just can not stand Myspace since nobody that I know uses it and only attract the wrong people over there. I do not like having to pay fees but if it means finding and old friend than it is okay and was worth it since I am back in touch with a friend that I grew up with. Be careful on Myspace as there are some crazy people on there.

It was actually pretty active for a good year, and I found a lot of classmates there. But I haven't been on it in a while, though I actually did pay them for the gold membership at one point.
Before sigining off there, I recommended everyone go to our schools board in yahoo.

I have used Classmates.com and another one too..I think they cll it "Reunion" not sure..will have to check the second :) I have found many people I know ..but have not yet contacted anyone:) Am too shy!!:)+

I did, and found a boyfriend of 40 years ago. Then we discoverey we were only 25 miles apart.

I tried them without any success however my sister and mother both had great success with it. They were able to find friends they hadn't been able since graduation. For my sister in particular she found her best buddy and now they see a lot of each other. The worst part is though they graduated up in Michigan and we now live in florida. Her friend was only 30 minutes from our house. She was living that close and we never knew it. For ten years they were that close to each other and just kept missing. Then because of classmates they were able to reconnect.
