How do you stop kids from grinding there teeth  

I dont know if there is a way. My 4 year old grinds her teeth when shes sleep. An old lady told me that that is a sign that they are going to be mean and it must be true because my 4 year old is straight gangsta. I would check with a doctor maybe or the dentist. I think one time I heard about something they could put in their mouth at night. I may check on it as well.

The best way to do this is to get them a teether, but you say he/she is 14 months old, that too won't work i suppose. But you can try putting the teether in refrigerator and give it to him/her so that he/she will like somewhat. Other way is to keep him/her busy in other activies and make him forget about it. Any how if you cannot stop or control it, i guess there is no harm in them doing this as that teeth is only a milk teeth and will soon fall, hence no harm.

I suggest you have your doctor check for any seizure disorders such as epilepsy. My second suggestion would be to get a mouth guard for your child(ren) to wear at night while sleeping. You can find them in the sporting department area at Walmart for a reasonable amount of money. The 14 month old child might have to have a special mouth guard made by a dentist.
