Is chinese food harmful for health ?

I love to eat chinese food...i find it very appetising....the best part about it is it is easily digested within two hrs and u again feel hungry ..so it can be eaten at nite too widout ne hassles...but i have read somewhere that it has its own side effects too..like it contains ajinomoto n other chemicals...to what extent is that true...ne ideas ppl ??

I would say chinese foods are not at all harmfull for health as they are mostly prepared by boiling and they use lees fatty oils and other thinks most of them are naturally cooked o steamed... so they are good to have them. keep eating when you love it..

I am chinese and I don't add ajinomoto (MSG) to the chinese food I prepare. As people get more health conscious these days, many chinese restaurants here guaranteed that they do not add MSG so they are healthier to consume. Check for the no MSG label on chinese seasonings or packet noodles if you prefer to cook them yourself. As for my mum, she's an MSG fan and yet she's still healthy at the age of 78!
