Any John Denver fans here?

yeah these are beautiful numbers.. even i am a gr8 fan of his.

I love almost all of his music. Grandmas feather bed reminds of the big feather tick I use to sleep on as a child.

John Denver was a unique talent that couldn't be categorized which is what I liked about him. I love Annie's Song - It's my favorite. Also, Sunshine on my Shoulders, Rocky Mountain High, Take Me Home Country Roads, and Calypso. I rocommend the Jouhn Denver Country Roads Collection to any fan. It's a fabulous 4 CD set.
While living in the Monterey area, I took some pictures of John (one of which which I'll post) at the 1997 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro- Am where he paired up with Clint Eastwood (they lost to Joe Pesci and Huey Lewis).
A few years later, after a leisurely round of golf at Pebble Beach he look his new experimental plane out over the Monterey Bay and soon found both fuel tanks empty. He went down just off Lover's Point, one of his favorite places in the world. Several fans, including myself, went out there several times to just listen to his music together.
The city of Monterey would not allow fans to erect a tribute to him there, but I think eventually a tree was planted there in his name.

Yes, I love John Denver. My absolute favorite song is "Annie's Song". He died way too young and it was so sad.

WE are now listening to John Denver. What a beautiful voice this man had. His music meant so much to me. They move me emotionally. "Annie's Song" just finished playing and I am now misty over it. I was in such disbelief when I heard that he had died.

I cried when I learned that John Denver had died, too. He seemed to be more in tune with the "common folk" than most. Rocky Mountain High is one of my favorite songs, but Take Me Home, Country Roads can still make me teary eyed.

I was thrilled to find two of his vinyl albums at a thrift store!

Oh yes. John Denver well not a name that you hear too often these days. If I had to pick an all time favorite, it would have to be, " Wild Montana Skies." Funily enough too my friends used say that I looked like him. I never saw it, but they sure rode me about it.

John Denver was a huge talent. I remember in the seventies he was so popular he could not get out of his own way. Sadly he faded later in his career. I think the Wildlife concert showcased a mature John Denver, he seemed to put it all together at that concert, it is great. He died only a couple of years after he gave that concert. He was a great musician but a lousy pilot.
I love his music.It was indeed unfortunate."Rocky Mountain High" still hails as my favorite J.D. song.

Yes, I ADORE him...I have many of his CD's and when I was a little girl, I played poker so I could buy one of his albums...I bought his greatest hits..
