What's better?? A formal education or life experience.

The reason I ask is that there are a lot of, not so smart people out there that spent a lot of $$$ and an education that have no real life application.something like this:engineers that flip burgers and thugs that have empires.what do you think?????

I think both are equally important. And when one has both the education and the experience, nothing can stop them. Some have only experience and some are only educated. The ones who have just the education have to start somewhere to gain the experience.

I don't think one is necessarily better than the other. I think both are necessary to be successful. Life experience can only get you so far. For that matter, a degree can only get you so far. Often you can't get in the door without some experience, and you cannot advance without a degree.
