Samsung Dvd recorder?

Does the samsung DVD recorder have a High Def tuner built in? If so does it send the high def signal through the components? and also is there a way to send the up converted dvd signal through the component? The reason why i ask is because i have a 4 year old rear projection toshiba that i cant afford to replace yet but i want to get some better signals going to it.
