| Do you give the Homeless\Transients, money when they ask for it?  | | | |  Whenever I see one of these people on the streets,I feel obligated to give them money. Even though I know alot of them just by alcohol or drugs with it. It's not totally a "sympathy" thing for me, it's more of a " What would god think if he saw me ignoring this person right now?" What do you think?

| |  I give them money also. I live in Houston now and it is very common for someone to be at every redlight. I think God wants us to give to these people. He will take care of them if they are being dishonest and using it for drugs or alcohol. I think if we didn't give to them then maybe we would block our blessings.

| |  I give the homeless money sometimes also. You live in Houston? Well, I live in Chicago so there are homeless people everyday all day all the time. They be riding the buses, trains, and walkign down the street. Thats very interesting to see homeless at redlights because redlights represent a stopped life for the homeless. They stopped focusing on things that matter and now they are living day by day at a time. Some of them use that christian mentality to manipulate people into giving them money.

| |  i used to give them money but lately i stopped. and it was becuz one time i saw a homeless guy asking for money becuz he was hungry, a woman came to him, giving him sandwich. he said with angry manner "what is this go away with it!" she went away. and that ensured me that those arent poor people becuz of an accident but they choose to be so instead of finding job or even saveing money on alkohol or cigarets!
and ive heard that people like this can earn really lot of money do im not shocked they remain homeless.
i think that god would think "i will help them if they want to help themselves, if they aim to something good i will help"

| | Why did you stop giving the homeless money? Why? What did they do or not do? Oh he got mad at the sandwhich. Some guys don't want to eat and they need to bu items such as soap powder to wash their clothes. Sometime they just need to buy specific items. Sometime there are homless people who are vegetarians and they don't eat meat so maybe they are allergic to something that is on the sandwhich the lady was giving him. HE could have turned down the sandwhich for any reason. | | | | | | | | |

| | I try and give to the homeless if they look like they don't need it. The reason I say I will give to people who look like they dont need it is because those are the real homeless people. Homeless people who look kind of old and bummy and look like they have been homeless for ten years. they are the crackheads whos going to spend the money on liquor and drugs. Real homeless people looks relatively clean because believe it or not there is always someone available to help the homeless. | | | | | | | | | | | |
