As a Pakistani i think nowadays we are here influenced by the western culture, media,western style.....hence anything you name it! so much that we have forgotten our own traditions and moral values,i think if we continue going this way we are vanished on the world's map.
Same is the case with Indians,what you would say about this!

Your point is valid, but you know what, living in one city, gives us the impression that that too much is happening even though its not. I mean, what you're saying is right but we need to realise that this only happening mostly in a microscopic minority of the nation i.e. only in the high or higher-middle class of the population in the urban cities. As a whole, Pakistan is still very safe from western culture.

well 14caror pakistani in pk..are still alive with thr culture...even i am not in pk..still my mom made sure...v visit pk whnever v can n she makes sure the enviorment @ my home is...typical pakistani...so i feel culture is still alive...i still wear shalwar kamez...eat pakistani food....watch geo......well all dat depends on the parents thy should make sure they keep the culture alive no matter whr thy r..!!

Beleive me aam very happy to hear this from you that you live with pakistani culture and you willingly own it!
I was actually saying that the tendency towards the westernization is incresing....you just go out anywhere in karachi,lahore....etc, you'll se a many number of people,especially the youth are wearing western style fabrics...their hairstyle is nothing different from Ricky Martin,Bryan Adams....
Dont you think this is unfair?

No we have here Shiv sena and Hindu rashtriya sangathan to take care of that. They are the moral brigades raiding everything in name of culture. You know our cultures are too deep rooted anmd too flexible to stop us moving with the times. We can go to discos at night and still start our day with namaz or pooja.

nice job man this is one of the grt topic i've seen on mylot.....ok as far as ur topic is concern i am totally agree with ur thinkings.......but tell me one thing who is responsible for this?? we(south asians) or west!!! i think we r responsible for this disasterous situations.God gives us every resources to this region,lot of manpower,beautiful deep seas,every thing that one developed country can just imagine!!! yr we (PAKISTANIS and INDIANS) must do something for the sake of this region....
