|  Anagram, according to the oxford dictionary is a word or phrase formed by rearranging the letters of another, this can be extended to phrases also, some examples are Desperation = a rope ends it, Mother-in-law = woman Hitler,
There are numerous softwares and websites which generates all possible angrams of a word or phrase entered. A software like this may appear very easy to create as one would think that all we need to do is check all possible combinations of the letters in the phrase and check if any of them make any sense(i.e exists in the dictionary).Well the logic can be implimented easily through loops but the fact is this idea wont work, or it wont povide result in acceptable time, as this process can take upto hours ,even on a very fast computer, so there should be some other technique like , tagging, keying etc. I have some idea of how to do it if its a word, but i havnt tried it for a phrase. If anyone have any algorithm or any idea of how to do it, then please post it here.

| |  The verb for making anagrams is also anagram (which is both transitive and intransitive). e.g. "I spent my evening anagramming.", "I anagrammed 'Virginia Bottomley' into 'I'm an evil tory bigot'", "The art of anagramming", "I love to anagram the names of my friends."
For some reason almost all dictionaries say that the verb is anagrammatize and most say that anagram isn't even available as an alternative. However, they are wrong (or out of date) as a simple search on Google for the relative frequencies of "anagramming" and "anagrammatizing" will show.
One word that is in some dictionaries and is useful is anagrammatist - an exponent of the art of anagramming.
I use a software called "Anagram Genius" to decipher tough ones.
Its really good.

| |  there is a site on anagrams...can't remember it though. I googled it before.
But the essence of anagram is not just rearranging the letters to form another word or phrase.. instead, the new phrase or word should be a definition or at least it says something that is related to the original word or phrase.

Anagrams are words or phrases made by mixing up the letters of other words or phrases, e.g. THE EYES is an anagram of THEY SEE. Here are some more good ones:
* Debit card = Bad credit
* Halley's Comet = Shall yet come
* Punishment = Nine Thumps
* Dormitory = Dirty room
* Astronomer = Moon starer
* The Hurricanes = These churn air
* Schoolmaster = The classroom

the quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dogs.
I guess this sentance contains all the letters in english language ,thats its speciality.
