franlly the endgame for this decade has jhust began.as we all know every growing economy needs energy and is often quite desparate for it.to this club the leaders are india and china.they guzzle a lot of fossil fuels and are quitte dependent on it.china for a variety of reasons including its communist structure ahs not gone totally nuclear and depends a lot on fossil fuels.india and china both equally strong economies were competing for the meagre resources of the world.enter united states.united states realised that unlike china india can depend on nuclear energy, has a democratic structure and can be a strategic allay of the united states.therefpre a plan was devised to make an exception for india which was noit all that suprising considering india's record in non proliferation.so the deal was inked between india and united states.now what do you think,is the deal a good deal or a bad deal.
my opinion is that the deal is a good deal in many aspects and on manby levels.also it will make india less dependent on fossil fuels, make india conform top international standards as far as nuclear part goes and will; strengthen its economy by leaps and bounds.
of course there are the naysayers who say that this deal actually makes a mockery of the ctbt treaty.that is not so.in a global scenario th9ings change and they change very fast so there can be no black or white but only grey's.india did not break any laws per se.it had already developed its nuclear wepon and was all set to test it prior to the cutting off date for the ctbt but was stopped from this by the united states.
whats more india's current record on non proliferation, its moratoraium on further testing[depending on strategic scenario]
is much better than some of the so called superpowers themselves anmely china which has been secretly aiding pakistans military and russia which seems to have lost control over its nuclear stock and is currently usiong its nuclear stockpile to kill the opponents of the kremlin!
anyway those are the facts,
what do you think?
