| | 2.  oldbuddy (5748) | 4 years ago |  It depends on you and which city. I have lived in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Portland and now live in a suburb of Portland where I am very happy. It's rural enough to be clean, beautiful and quiet, but the city is only 25 miles down the freeway. I did have 4 acres in the country and raised pigs and sheep a while back and no thanks. That is history.
