What is the "stupidest" thing you've bought

Now, let's see what kind of spenders we really are. Did you ever bought something and you felt like saying or actually said "Why did I buy this.." or "Wow, what is this crap!" or "This is so cool but useless!"? What is the most useless, wasteful, unneeded, stupid purchase you've ever done? It doesn't have to be something costly but generally we have these feelings when we've wasted a fistfull of money but it can be anything of any value that you've bought and felt this way about it.

The stupidest thing I ever bought was a kind of brush that spins when you push the button and it curls the ends of your hair, 35 bucks down the drain. The first time I used it..well I put it in my hair and pushed the button, it curled so fast it got stuck in my hair, it took two people and a good 20 minutes to get that thing out of my hair!

Not worth to buy. Should check the manual first. I wish the same thing too so I will not get into the same problem again and again.

I once bought this big crazy container full of containers..its like 150 containers in all these sizes and shapes..I thought it was a good idea at the time, but then when it came time to find a place for them, I was like "why did I buy these and where are they going to go?"

I did the same thing. I have hundreds of those little containers just taking up space in my cabinets. I rarely use them. I have been taking them to get togethers and pitchin ins, and sending them home with family afterwards.

I always get free gifts when I shop for things at the supermarket. Sometimes I refused to redeem but my sister will insist me to get the free things so much. The only thing that come to my mind every time we get free items is where the place to put all this things? I couldn't recall any empty place at home anymore yet I still need to find it to store that free gifts. Now I am collecting all of them in one place and feel free to make them a gift to other people. I said to my sisters and brother, 'don't spend any cents to buy any gift if you need to have it some day and feel free to use what we have (that free items) as you could as possible.'

That would have to be one of the gifts I gave my daughter and son in law for Christmas. They just moved into a new home and I purchased a telemarketer's zapping device for their phone. They did not have a home phone in their previous apartment and it didn't dawn on me that they would choose the same route with the new house. So much for this one...lol!

Haha, I guess not such a good gift if there isn't a phone.

You should give me that chocolate maker. I really like chocolate and dream to make them by my own~ It will save some of money buying the ready made chocolate if I can make them by my own~

The stupidest thing I brought was a ironing board that you hang on the wall. Well, the item is not actually stupid, but it was stupid to buy because we dont need it, never took it back, brand new in the storage closet for lke over a year. Everytime I get home and look at the stuff I brought that day, I always think all of it was stupid to buy anyway.

No not stupid, it would be a good thing for someone that irons all the time. Which is definately not me. Except my hubbies Army uniforms.

The stupidiest thing which I have ever bought is a car deck without owning a car. It seems to be quite good looking and I purchased it for 320$ without even owning a car.

Perhaps you will use it when you own a car. Sometimes we can be that way especially when we meet something that will attract our eyes to buy. When we get home only then we will realize that it is not worth at all~ After meeting many same incidents, I will always ask myself and think about it first before I ever purchase that thing whether it is worth to buy or not. I would rather go home and think it first and go back to that place to buy if I want to. Usually when I get home the desire to buy things will get away from myself as it no longer in front of my eyes.

A modem. An Internet modem. It was an expensive modem and just after I used it I found it useless, such a waste and I should not buy it at all. It was expensive but the features is not like the price. Since I really need to have one and they didn't have the cheaper modem- ah, sales people they are all liars! They have it but lied to me, so I bought that 'new feature of modem' and it broke a few months after that. That was my first time purchasing that item and I don't know to choose the right modem for myself. Only then I found that I could purchase 5 different and more cheaper modems for that one and only expensive stuff.Gosh!! I should think it at first place. I also felt regret when the first time I bought my laptop. With the same price I could buy another laptop with high specifications. I don't think there are stupid things. It was my fault. I was the stupid and I learn a lot form it. From that time, I always encourage and guide others how they should purchase electronic stuff within limited budget, find the stuff with cheaper price but excellent quality. I learnt that by hard and it cost very high price of money to earn such experience. Perhaps for others that was just a simple thing with help from others or did it by own self. As for me I have no one to refer too and I learnt it on my own way. it can be such a waste but the lessons is greater in value.
