I used to live in Colorado and LOVED the snowtorms. But I never went though antyhing like that before!!! They just got totally slammed with snow!!! There's no way anything can keep up with it all. Where I am now, we get a decent snow storm once every couple years and the whole place shuts down because we aren't used to it. I do miss all the real show though... I hope they get back in gear soon.

Yes, John Denver. One of his hits was Rocky Mountain High. The Rocky Mountains do run through Colorado. I remember one summer when my Grandparents too me back there with my sister and cousin, we listened to John Denver the whole way across the country. That was a fun trip - in the summer though, no snow :)

I live in Colorado and I have to tell you that it was a doozie!!! We had over 10 foot drifts. Id post pictures here but Im a newbie and cant anymore. If anyone shows me where, I can post the pictures for you.
We just dug ourselves out yesterday and was able to get to the store. There were over 4,000 travelers stranded in the airport sleeping on the floor and eating fast food, which eventually started to get depleated because there were no deliveries made to the airport to help with the food.
Also Im still waiting for half of my Christmas gifts i bought online because since Thursday, weve had no mail delivery service, no UPS and no Fedex...
This was certainly a good one!

I thought it was a doozie! Many folks hear Colorado and they immediately associate it with snow..Just because Colorado is known to have snow doesn't mean people are ready for the unruly blizzards:)+

I heard about that. I thought it snowed there anyway. Yes I seen in on the news. Alot of people flights did get cancelled. I bet that messed up alot of peoples plans who were planning to go there for Christmas, well Christmas is just a few days away, maybe It will clear up by then. But what about the people that made plans for that day?

Yes it does snow in Colorado "anyway" but when snow gets out of hand and is in great quantity causing unreasonable inconvenience it is called a Blizzard:)+ We have snow..but if snow dumped into our state that way we would be scrambling too:)+

I did hear about the blizzard today while looking at CNN's website. That looked like a pretty nasty storm from the pictures I saw and I know a basketball game got postponed because of it. Colorado gets a lot of snowstorms so they are probably used to it. We would have a crisis here since we do not get big storms like that very often.

now that could really be serious business for some folks, if the basketball game was cancelled..I know seveal male friends that live for the ball game..they pitch their tent when the game begins..and you can't talk to them till it ends!!!

My aunt who has never been out of the state went to arizona last week. on their way back the got snowed-in in albequeqie New Mexico from the same storm fron that was in colorado. They went down there to spend christmas with her daughter thinking it would be warm down there. It was colder there there it was here and Indiana. I thought it was pretty bad that they had to go southwest to see snow.
