As I feel, Hemanta Mukherjee had the sweetest voice among the Indian singers of all time. Hemanta Babu had to come up through a great struggle in those days. When he started his career as a singer. it was the era of success for Pankaj Mallick. It happened even so that he went on invitation for singing in programmes, but he was refused the stage as Pankaj Mallick arrived. However, he came up through struggle. I like his songs. I have listened almost all of his songs both in Hindi and Bengali. Did he sing in any other language?
