Do you know who made first X'Mas greeting card? .One John Kalcot from London. He inaugurated greeting card by sending a beautiful card to director of British museum, Henry Carl. It was in 1843! Card contain picture of a family enjoys Christmas food together. But a card without picture was first sent by William Eagly in 1842 to his friend .the content was “a merry X’Mas and happy new year”.
There was also some unofficial X’Mas card in early centuries. That was one with picture of baby Jesus and “Ein Gout Seling Lov” which means “good and enjoyable a new year”.
USA has biggest market for X’Mas Louise Prag Boston was called as the father of American X’Mas cards. He made Santa clause for that he model jeevholy in Texas. His appearance and mannerism like Santa clause
There is also a Guinness record. One man called Varner send more than 62864 cards to his friends and relatives.
The biggest card was made by navanish-naveen brothers.
More than 100,0000000 cards are produced inside USA iself. It cost $440,00000000. Also cost of stamps used for sending cards are $270,0000000
