Ofcourse it is not a must. Infact it is not required at all. Celebrating the birth of Jesus has nothign to do with beign drunk and being insane. There is no need for such things and there is no justification. Infact, I would even say that it is insulting to Jesus for his followers to drink especially heavily on that day. Nice post.
