Everytime I'm here in in mylot I always make sure that I'm signed in on yahoo massenger so that if somebody responded to my discussion I would know it right away. Notification for new messages pops out right before your eyes.

yeah well what about those like me who do not use yahoo massenger (or even yahoo messanger) and do not want a simple way for viruses and trojans to get on their computer?

I think any kind of messenger will do. I haven't use any other yet. You may use spyware doctor to detect those kinds of viruses.

In your profile there is an option to check that allows you to get an email when someone responds to your discussion. The only problem there is that if you get a really good discussion going your email can and will be overloaded by email. I disabled this option very quickly as I didn't want to have to sort through everything.

I usually wait about ten notifications before I delete the messages on my inbox. If I get too many messages then it doesn't bother me because it's rewarding, it only implies that I've made a good discussion.

I always check each new discussion I have started and respond back to the responses. Then I try to find one discussion to respond to from that person. This works better than getting a LOT of emails.
