The Aviator

He was very good at portraying Hughes. I thought the film was great overall, including the flying scenes. Another great film from Scorcese, and another one of his that got overlooked at Oscars time.

I was prejudice..didn't think he was right for the role..however DiCaprio was great as Hughes. All the other supporting roles were well done. I would have rather seen more of Dietrich and less of Hepburn. I felt that relationship was dragged out. The movie starts with Hughes making "Hell's Angel" and gives little information of his past. How he was orphaned and dropped out of school. How he took flying lessons while filming. Why he loved flying in the first place. It didn't mention his marriage and his divorced during this time period. Could of explained why he invented a bra, most of his inventions with aerospace technology were present, kudos to pressurized cabins. I felt some of his behavior wasn't correct with the timeline. I wished they would of mentioned his prescribed drug use after his Bev Hills crash. The movie ends in the late 40's however Hughes went on to do more things, for someone that isn't familiar with his life you would have thought that was it for him and he just went crazy. He did so much....only a book could do his life justice but as far as movies goes...The acting and directing were great.:)
