| 1. ianpaulbeatingo (71) | 3 years ago |  Yes FF8 has a good storyline and game play but for me, the best FF storyline until now is FF7 because one of your main characters gets killed and you can't use her anymore for the rest of the game. I haven't played FF12 yet since I'm waiting for a few months to let the price roll down a little. I can't afford the hefty $50 tag.

4.  MadameLaCouyan (133) | 3 years ago |  Final Fantasy VIII was a great game. I just got bored with it about the time I got to Ultimecia. It's one that I plan on going back to to beat again and see how I react to it this time. I had better luck with some of the other final fantasies as the story line didn't drag as long. Best thing about FFVIII I think was the card game. That version of it was a blast.

6.  misskatonic (2646) | 3 years ago |  Final Fantasy 8 is probably my least favorite of the series. I felt it sacrificed plot for graphics. Instead of the in depth, complex characters and storyline Final Fantasy is known for, FF8 slapped together some generic characters recycled from previous games and a weak storyline and played 'Lookit what we can do with CGI! Look! Look how pretty!'. All the game creators spent their interviews talking about how beautiful it was, and the attention to graphic detail, but had nothing to say about the story or characters. Because there was nothing worth saying. It was a beautiful game, but as a Final Fantasy game, it fell flat.
But with a game where the lead character is modeled after*Gackt*, what else can be expected?

When I finished it, I feel that I don't wanna play any game anymore, cause I think that day there's no game that match with it:). The game was full of action, tremendous story and a lot of romantic scene too. The character also so cool.
