how many days/months does the tag "fresher" hold for a person who graduates ?

i think it is for a year.if another batch of graduates comes out of college then the tag will refer them.so it should be 1 year.Further if he gains experience in that 1 year he then will not be called with this tag.but now in most of the MNC they are prescribing the freshers with the pass out year which is mostly 2 years.

I think the tag disappears once he takes up some apprentice job or joins any firm as trainee or sometimes graduates are given direct responsibility without training, depending on the nature of the job.
