as i child my parents grew plums in the garden, came as a great shock to me that other people had to buy them from the shop . English plums are really good, i agree

Thanks for your reply. Yes it is a pity that some people have to buy it. In my country especially, since plums don't grow here, we need to import them, therefore very expensive.

I lover plums. We have moved to an area that is cool enough to grow them and a neighbour gave us a bucket full of blood plums this year. They were beautiful.

No I haven't tasted the original English plums.
But I do like the black and the Spanish plums we have here that are very much in season during summer. It is really delicious. I really like dipping them in salt. I prefer them big and firm.

Yes, I love them. But best eaten off the tree. By the time the market gets them, they are not as good, or frozen.

I like plums very much, i like most fruits. I also like all the hybrid fruits that are being grown these days, which involves plums quite a bit in the combinations, such as Pluots.(Plums bred with apricots).

no i never tasted it.but i don't know why my saliva is bursting out from my mouth on seeing those fruits
