Bad Teachers!  

I am so sorry you were treated that way! What an awful teacher! Did your parents ever complain on your behalf?
I hope you didn't let the "Garbage man" comment hurt you too much. I don't know where you are from, but in New York USA trash collectors "Sanitation men" make really good money, and they provide a vital service to the community.
In New York City the Sanitation men are referred to as New York's Strongest.
Lot's of really smart people were not great students, it doesn't mean there is anything wrong with them, they just have a different learning style from what the teacher is teaching with.
I know a lot of people who did really badly in regular school, but excelled when they got to college.
I hope you won't let your bad school experience ever discourage you from pursuing your dreams.

You are definitely right that this teacher was very bad and treated you wrong and is telling students that is what will happen to them too if they do not do homework. I am a teacher and would never say or do anything like that. It gives teachers a bad reputation even though many teachers are wonderful and caring and will do whatever they can to help the students do well and succeed.

Keep being respectful to him cos two wrongs don't make a right. But if you think that he is being unnecessarily unfair to you, u might want to talk to someone maybe ur principal or something so that they can get to the bottom of it.

In my opinion, school is hard enough to get through without having to face bad students and teachers (especially teachers!!). Just because a teacher makes it through teachers college does not mean that they will be good teachers, the same goes with doctors! I remember when I was in highschool and suffering from depression, my guidance counselor tried telling me that there was no alternative way for me to complete my education and was completely useless to me. I did find a way of earning some credits online and it really upset me that she couldn't take the time to do some research and help me out. I thought this was what she's there for??

Some teachers, as well as some schools should be discontinued. My son went through something similar. He was having math problems and wanted extra help after school. This is no lie....he had to go to the office, set up an appointment to see this teacher after school. He did all that, got the extra help. The next day in class, the teacher made him stand up in front of everyone, then proceeded to tell them just how stupid he was because he had to get extra help. My son wanted to hit her, but instead left school. We did not know he had left for two days. I did go up to the school and we did have it out, but the school defended the teacher saying she had that right. We pulled him from that school and sent him to another one that cared if kids learned, with or without extra help. He did great there.

I can't believe there are still places in the US that get away with that kind of stuff. That was what school was like where I went to school, a long time ago. What do you do now? Did you prove them wrong? Although actually the garbage men where I live make pretty good money. Better than I do. What did your parents say about that?

My daughter's Special Ed expert said "well, we always need burger flippers" She now makes waay more than the teacher she's a welder by trade. People who don't fit into wholes created by society are marked as "bad" merely because they march to their own drummer, I don't mean kids who break the rules, I mean kids who just don't fit.Eistein didn't fit, neither did Da Vinci or Van Gogh, but whose laughing now, huh!?

I think your teacher is not right.. have you considered telling the principal or superiors about this? well it's a bad experience I also had an experience when my teacher raised her voice at me i cried in class, my classmates even said that i was over acting anyway it's because im not used to being talked with that way and after class the teacher apologized to me.. so iwas okay after that :)

we had a history teacher in high school who was the angriest woman I ever knew..her husband left her for one of the senior girls and she took it out on everybody..all she wanted to teach us was the holocaust..that didnt go over well with the head of the history department being jewish and all..she yelled and screamed and told some of us girls, "don't worry, you think those little drug-dealing scums of the earth youre dating love you now..wait until you get my age"..we also had another history teacher who realized he was old (I don't know why it took him so long to come to that conclusion) and started taking it out on everyone under the age of 18..he was so nice when I got to high school, but over time, he got so bitter and angry...my point is, when these teachers see they can no longer deal with their job, they need to just hang it up and resign..kids don't need that type of abuse..
