On the third day of Christmas, country singer Keith Urban and actress Nicole Kidman were spotted together attending a movie in Sydney marking their first public appearance since Urban got out rehab.
After two months of being apart due to Urban’s substance abuse treatment, and after some media reports aimed their union, the couple were shot holding hands while leaving the United International Pictures office Wednesday in Kidman’s hometown of Sydney.
The two who were joined by Kidman’s sister Antonia, said nothing to the media as they walked to a car and were driven away.
It was also the first time Kidman and Urban had been seen together since model Amanda Wyatt told Britain's The Mail on Sunday that she had regularly slept with Urban up until a month before his June wedding to Kidman.
"I guess I knew he was seeing her but he was also seeing me," Urban’s old girlfriend said.
"He wasn't married so I still held out hope they were just having some kind of publicity relationship.
"When we made love he never used protection. He told me he liked that I didn't pressurize him to get married or have babies. I sometimes wonder if he said the same thing to Nicole."
"I hope their marriage works, but leopards don't change their spots," the self-proclaimed “nobody” added.
She also revealed the artist’s ways of misleading his family and friends regarding his drinking habits.
"He drank constantly - his favourite was Crown Royal Reserve whisky - and he did drugs. Ecstasy, cocaine, pot - you name it," she said.
"When his mother was there from Australia, she was very protective of him. She kept telling me it was OK for him to drink but begged me not to let him do cocaine again. I didn't dare tell her the truth - that he was still doing it. Looking back, I rarely saw him sober."
"I hope their marriage works, but leopards don't change their spots."
The 39-year-old singer, who flew in town on Tuesday, checked himself at the Betty Ford Center in Palm Springs, California, a couple of months ago to treat his alcoholism once and for all.
His Oscar-winning actress has been in town since several days before the holidays and has been shooting a movie in Australia, Australian Associated Press and Nine Network television reported. The couple got married in June at Manly and hasn’t visited the place since.
