Ferrara Enjoys Anti-'Betty' Photo Shoot

Actress America Ferrera says she enjoyed a magazine photo shoot that will allow her to show U.S. fans of "Ugly Betty" a more glamorous side of her.
The 22-year-old actress told "Entertainment Tonight" her recent photo shoot for a Jan. 2 issue of CosmoGIRL gave her a chance to enjoy a positive makeover rather than the makeup she typically dons for her title role on "Ugly Betty."
"It's a nice break from work, and I get to dress up and look all pretty as opposed to (getting) 'Betty-fied,'" Ferrera said. "It takes me just as long to do either one. So this isn't the real version of me either, just as neither is Betty."
The actress said that while the photo shoot allowed her to reveal her physical beauty, her work in the ABC comedy brings up similar encouraging emotions.
"I actually feel so beautiful when I'm playing Betty," Ferrera said. "She has such a light and such a confidence that just comes out of her, and having to be in that character 15 hours a day ... I find that I'm a happier person because I have to be who she is most of the time."

i am not really understanding this i havnt been caught up on the news so i dont know what its about i dont have cable, sattelite of any kind of television other than dvd's

I am sure that even though playing the role of Ugly Betty is rewarding for her she finds it nice to seperate herself from it and show the world who she really is. From what I have seen she is quite a pretty young woman.

I think that this is a great thing for her to do. I give her credit for starring in a show tht blatantly calls her "ugly Betty."

I think as you. I believe that the Mylot desires to see quality in its answers, however find that something is bad a person to have to write very, when could summarize its reply and not lose the quality. I think that it would be very better if this was not a requirement to gain itself more here. But as it is not, I think that to write itself very, you can gain more.

I love this show. I also agree with what she is saying. She is beautiful to herself because she gets to be a confident person on the show despite her outward appearance in the fashion house magazine building where she works. She's good at what she does and knows it. America is such a sweet gal. I really enjoy watching her.
