reading out and listening to shakespearean verses is like a jigsaw puzzle.....

it has been noticed that listening to verses of shakespeare, marlowe, keats, donne... actually sharpens our brain cells. brain cells are at wit's end in solving the old archaic, syntactically weird romantic or elizabethan verses. we, while listening constantly, grope at the meaning and appropriateness of the words like in a jugsaw puzzle.

I agree-reading any of these takes much more than just reading the words-our brains sort of have to take the time to organize what it all means at the same time. This might be a great activity to continue to do throughout life though since anything that requires brain power tends to keep the brain sharp

great response, i really appreciate. yes, the archaic, obsolete usage of words and their quirky placements keep us constantly aroused and we cannot but try to figure out the meaning, consciously and subconsciously.
thank for sharing
keep going.......
