sat...  | |  I live in India....I'm currently in 11th std. And many of my friends are planning to give the SAT exam.
I want to know what exactly is the use of the SAT exam. I know it helps in studying abroad...and some other STUFF
But i want to know exactly how it helps...
I couldn't find much in Google about it.

In any case, the SAT is a large, 5 hour test of reading (mulitple choice questions about vocabulary and short passages), writing (which includes a 30-minute essay and grammar questions), and math (as it says) that plays a significant role in college admissions in the US.
I'm not exactly sure how it plays a role in studying abroad. The SAT plays a HUGE role in college admissions here in the US, but I don't believe it is a major factor if you were to go to college in the UK, for instance.
