It must have been around 1978, I was on a trip and had to stay in rauncy little hotel room over night in Toronto Canada.
Totally bored I was walking down Yonge Street and say a theatre that had a group called The Band and they movie was The Last Waltz. It was $2.00 and it was going to be a long night just sitting in that hotel room. So in I went.
I tell you that was the best two bucks I have ever and I mean ever spent.
Get the video or dvd and enjoy it over and over. I have been since 1978.

There's a lot of great music in that movie, with The Band and all the guest stars. That's one of my favorite concert movies, along with another one from that era, the Concert for Bangladesh. Too bad that a couple members of The Band are no longer with us. But the remaining ones seem to be keeping busy with various projects.

I haven't taken the time yet to buy the DVD so I have it in video format, but I certainly have enjoyed the tapes, then albums, then CDs over and over.
Great to go fishing with that music.
Even though it has been years since I've seen it I can vividly remember so much of and as I remember I had had a few drinks in my hotel room that night before I saw the movie. :)
