Which celebrity death was the biggest in 2006?  

I'm sure that all of these people's deaths were the biggest in their families. It is always sad to lose someone that you love. I would have to go with Coretta Scott King- Steve Irwin may have been a friend to conservation, Mrs. King was a friend of humanity!

I would say Steve Irwin. There wasn't even a way to predict he would be killed by a stingray. Only a handful of people in the history of the world have ever died that way. I'd have thought he would have been killed some other way. I feel for his family, his wife especially. The entire world knew of his passing before she did.

I feel that all those people affected the world in different ways, and hope their passing on doesn't impact the greatness of their lives.

I too am still so sad over the death of Steve Irwin that I tend to cry over it still...i admired that man for a good many years, and my one dream in life was to go to Australia and meet him..i was so shocked over his death, and still am. He was a wonderful father, conservationist, and a wonderful friend to all creatures. I used to be so amazed how he would get so excited over finding a small spider in a cave...i truly loved him and what he did for this entire planet, and i think the world lost one of its greatest heroes..and i am glad that if he had to go so soon, that it was doing what he loved best.

What are you talking about 2006 isn't over yet so there is still hope that Paris Hilton might die of over exposure. That would be something to crow about.

The saddest death for me this year was the loss of a great Aussie, Steve Irwin and it is still a bit raw when I see his daughter or wife on the televsion giving an interview, such amazing mother and daughter! Yes Steve's death has really left an impact on me.

I think the death of steve Irwin was horrible. My kids were big fans of his show. I didn't even know that Don knotts passed away this year, wow. I heard today that former president Ford passed away. I am sure that will be the biggest.

i would say everyone from your list were the biggest death. everyone were very famous and friend for mankind at their position and work. everyone's death is a great loss for us. popularity doesn't always say the ultimate. besides them we should think abt those all unknown people who are deied in this year 2006, everyine was very very important to their family, relatives and to the people who knew them. i have strong feelings and gratitude for them. we will never able to fufill their position.

I hadn't even heard about the loss of Steve Irwin whom I liked very much, and the death of Ed Bradley was truly a loss to the journalistic community, I am not sure if you heard but we also lost President Gerald Ford in the community in which I live and the loss of Mrs. King and her tireless work for minorities and blacks specifically is terrible. I don't think that one is any bigger than the other or that there is any difference to those who loved each of them. Their loss is enormous as we can only mourn with them. Have you ever met any of these people. I once met Rosa Parks and her death was more intimate due to that.
