I stumbled across Loreena McKennitt almost by accident about 3 or 4 years ago. A friend of mine knows that I prefer music that is off the beaten path and she had one of Loreena's singles and sent it off to me to see what I thought. I was entranced from the first moment. Loreena sings music that is very much akin to certain movements in my soul. It's kind of hard to explain but her music certainly gets to the core of things with me. Very moving.

I was looking for some new age celtic style music to try out and found Loreena McKennitt. Haven't bought any of her albums yet (can never find them in music stores) but I won her latest album (An Ancient Muse) and I will get her back catalogue through the internet now. She has an amazing voice

I first heard about her because her song The Mystic's Dream was part of the soundtrack to The Mists of Avalon movie. This is my favorite song and so I bought the movie soundtrack and discovered that Loreena McKennitt wrote it.

I have always loved celtic music. My daughter turned me on to her. I love to listen to this type of music while painting It releases my creativity.

The father of a friend got an album of Loreena McKennitt and he make me listen to it. The song was 'The lady of Shalott'. Since then, I brought every CD that Loreena had make. I even seen her in concert. That was magic. I recommend you strongly to go see one (She's on tour right now).
