Yes, I definitely would stop and say something. I'd call the police too. I saw something on TV where they set people up on a hidden camera show like that. I was totally disgusted with people when they didn't stop or even acknowledge what was going on.

I saw that too.I could not believe that people just did nothing.I mean you can walk by and still call someone like the police if you were unsure what would happen if you went up to that person.

I don't think you'd know until you were in the situation...I mean everyone would like to think that they'd do something to help, but the truth of the matter is that alot of people are out there for themselves, and let's face it -- we're not stupid...if there's a group of people hurting an elderly person, and you're on your own, you're not going to approach them, are you? Unless, of course, you're a master fighter... But personally, I know I'd at least alert someone, like police or whatever, especially if I was on my own.

I would do the same if there were a group and I was by myself. If it were just the elderly person and the abuser I would go up on my own.

I will not question them if he is just yelling. But, if he scolding him in abusive language or he is abusing him physically Then i will sure question him. I will ask him to stop doing that. If he dont stops that i will complaint with the police & i will leave that aged person in any charity where they take of aged people.

If it were a group trying to rob an elderly person or appeared to be a robbery by a single person, I think that I would call the police, but I wouldn't risk getting involved. If it was a matter of a family member or guardian of an elderly person abusing them out of impatience or for any reason, then yes I would definitely say something. If it appeared that the abuser could hurt the person, I would call the police. Elder abuse by grown children or caretakers is becoming quite a problem in our society, unfortunately, and we need to be as vigilant about protecting the frail elderly as we are about protecting children.
