How many people have actually heard of James Ellis aka Orion. This is a man who sounded just like Elvis. No, he was not an impersonator, his actual voice was the same as the King's. It was actually a cross he had to bear as no one would give him a chance on his own.

I have heard of him. He was involved in a "scam" so to speak, trying to say Elvis was still alive. They often referenced Orion in that whole deal.
And his voice did sound eerily like Elvis'. But if you had to sound just like somebody, that wasn't a bad voice to sound like.

He recorded a song in the early 70s called let me be the one which he sent under Elvis's name to BMG records. All staff belived it to be elvis even the col. until evis came and corrected him. Orion did have albums out in the 70s but his career never got bad elvis impressionist. For the record he is very good at copying elvis's style and tone.

No, I never heard of him. Did he ever make it big? I listen to Elvis, his music is awesome.
