In the paper on the weekend there was an article stating that a research study had determined that a boys chances of becomin gay increased in realtion to the number of older brothers he has..... This is regardless of whether the boy has been raised in the same household as his brothers or not..... Unfortunately the article didn't elaborate further. Strange finding in my opinion. What do you think?

this common misconception that gayoritis can be genetic or caught has been known to be rubbish by scientist for years. the only scientificly proven way to know if a boy will grow up to be gay is if he wears pink socks.

LMAO. Yep, it's those socks that give it away every time! That and an unhealthy obsession with "Ugly Betty". Why the heck Scientists spend so much time and money chasing the other angles they do is beyond me!

I doubt pink socks would mean alot, especially is someone throws something red in a wash of undershirts, underwear and socks.. My little sister did this and so did my niece once and My step dad had ot wear pink socks for a week..lol

Yes, that's it! lol. Just don't ever stand too close to Elton John, OK? They sure do come up with some bizarre angles at times and what I don't really understand is WHY there's this desire to try and come up with reasonings like these. Are people looking to "cure" it or something??? Come on!

LOL I noticed there was a study just recently where they were offering to try and treat people who were gay and make them 'straight'. Load of piffle - what does it matter if a man prefers men and women love women? ~mummymo shakes head at people who thing being gay is an illness~

God knows how they were actually "treating" them??? It is what it is and there's no need to be trying to work out why all the time. Next thing you know, they'll be trying to qualify why someone likes a brunette over a blonde and then try to change that too. It's so counter-productive.

to me I have always thought it was something you are born and it didn't matter how many brothers you have. sometimes these kind of studies are strange and i don't really find a lot of truth in them.

This is the way I see it also. You're born with these tendencies and that's the end of it. It's just typical human behaviour to always try and qualify everything! Why it's important to cinduct studies like these is beyond me really. So let's say that in time they find a common gene or something, then what?
