Will you be downsizing at all this year?

Will you be trying to use a little less of everything this year? Downsizing is about trying to make resources go further for lots of reason, for some people its to save money, for others its to be more eco concious. Interested to hear how others are approaching downsizing

After seeing the shocking amount of waste produced over the hoiliday period, I am seriously considering what i can do to minimise the rubbish we produce. Recycling is pretty much the best thing we can do personbally, but don't you think that industries should look at the way our goods are packaged to help minimise waste.
I had to dispose of 6 sacks of rubbish (mostly packaging from gifts) after christmas day alone!

I completely agree that industry should be encouraged to reduce the packaging they send out as well as any efforts we can make. Thats why its so vital to refuse carrier bags etc in shops, to help get that message across

You know, it's funny, but the only thing I've made up my mind to downsize is the amount of time I spend at work. I decided that my one and only New Year's resolution was going to be that I would stop going into work at ungawdly hours just to be there 'if something interesting happens' or to 'impress the boss with the amount of hours I'm putting into my job'. I've decided to downsize the time I'm taking away from my family who misses me.

On the first priority of yours, I'll doing the downsizing for savings. It needs very intelligent approach to consider the same. Suddenly we can't make downsize the things in one stroke. I'm doing it in stages, without affecting earlier habituals.

It's an interesting idea and could work really well. I think i would downsize how much i eat! But i don't have the will power. Right now i'm living in my parents house so i don't have control of much more anyway. Perhaps how much i spend though i do tend to save quite a lot.
