why are we putting up with it? in September they cut back their supply because the oil companies had way to much. analysts even told the media that gas could go as low as 1.18 by december. but no, they have risen again and again. If we kept some of our oil in our own county instead of selling it to china, maybe it could be cheaper. But then again, if china pays our oil companies more than the usa, why would they?

I too am sick and tired of the outrageous gas prices. My advise is basic economics. Reduce demand and the prices will drop. More people need to take public transportion, including me. And, I think that hybrid production will start increasing and eventually overtake the standard gas operated automobiles. Both of which will reduce the dwmand for gasoline.

I think it is interesting that this discussion was started 2 years ago, and the gas prices just got worse and worse. I think the most I paid was $4.75/gallon. Thankfully it is under $2 for now, and I hope it stays that way for a long time (I know it will go back up) but for now, I am extatic!

Right now, the gas prices aren't too bad. But they are also unstable and it's only a matter of time before it costs me a fortune to fill my car again.

I think we are so dependent that the majority of people will still buy it at $10.00 a gallon
