Since the advent of electricity and its distribution system, over-head electric lines are commonly seen everywhere there is supply of power. Though at specific places in cities under-ground cabling distribution is there, but universal is over-head transmission system. Now-a-days also the number of towers operating for cellular phone net-work has been erected like mushrooms. Can a system will not be possible that substitutes these long distance ove-head electric lines as wellas so many towers for cellular phones? Any idea for such a system, please suggest clearly.

The only other thing I could think of,if technology became that far advanced was that it would be sent through the airwaves, like the internet, but I can really ever see that happening,or on the other hand maybe it already does and im not aware of it!but there has been a lot of creating about the mobile phone masts, the inference has been that they are very bad for our health, and can contribute toward cancer, well whether there is any truth in that remains to be seen. But the moble masts are very cleverly hidden,on supermarket signposts, and other such hiding places.

I do not have an idea exactly. I think everything has been looked at thoroughly by engineers and i am sure if there was a simplar way they would come up with it. Underground is not as safe as a lot of people think. The earthe moves and changes and if anything happens you can not get to the lines quick enough. The only other route to take would be use a sattelite in space to beam off of, then you have the problem of space debri cloggin everything up. So for now the way we are doing it is the only way feasible.
