Have you ever heard of Byetta?  email this discussion to a friend?

This injectable drug is relatively new to the Diabetes treatment regimen. I have been using this drug now for about 3 months and it's done wonders for me keeping my sugar low. However, there are some things to know about it. One, it has to be kept refrigerated. For traveling, the manufacturer will send you a free travel kit with gel inserts that you freeze to keep the injector pen cool. However, you cannot travel on airlines with these gel packs. Secondly, Byetta is great to keep your sugar in the afternoons and evenings low, but your morning sugar may be high. You may need a second medicine to help that out. Lastly, it has some side effects. The one I experienced was loose bowel movements. On occasion, these will hit you within minutes of eating, and in some cases, you better be darn close to a restroom you can use. Check out http://www.byetta.com for more info on the drug. Its done wonders for me!
