Reverend Pat Robertson of the Christian Broadcasting Network of America declared at the " 700 Club " that President Hugo Chavez of Venezuela must be assassinated !! He preached " We have the ability to take him out , and I think the time has come that we exercise that ability." Rev Robertson is an old man and an old Christian Crusader. He wants to get rid of unbelievers and heathens who may hurt the righteous existence of the Christians. He is a man of the cloth and he preaches from the bible. He is at least HONEST!. There is no mealy mouthing what he sees as necessary acts in the defence of the way of life and teachings of the Bible. Never mind the " thou shall not kill" bit. There are always extenuating circumstances which he can plead to his god when an innocent life is taken. The other one of the ten commanment which says " Thou shall not bear false witness against your fellow man ( lie )" is one which the good reverend does not break . There is still honour amongst the sinning mob , I see. Come to think of it, this sounds so much like the rhetoric which , when uttered by a Muslim cleric , would be characterised as " extremist and fundamentalist threats "and fully justify a regime change or two. Certainly an invasion is warranted. The humbug just cannot get anymore cynical , can it ? Please someone tell me it cannot get any more blatant and clownish. Please, pretty please. Let us hear the sound of silence from the likes of Fox News and the cabal of neo-cons like Rice.
