Can computer games ever gain mainstream acceptance as being art? | | To those of of us who have grown up playing different genres of computer games across different platforms there is an understanding that there is more to gaming than meets the eye. Some games such as the Zelda or Final Fantasy series to name but a few are deserving of recognition in the portrayal of engaging storylines alongside breathtaking visuals and ingenious gameplay mechanics.
This kind of creativity were it seen in other more established media such as film would garner recognition of massive proportions. Discuss.
