Yes Bush does have a brain, it is called: Karl Rove Republican political strategist Karl C. Rove is best known as George W. Bush's top advisor, earning him the nickname "Bush's Brain." He was appointed as Assistant to the President and Senior Advisor to the President by Bush during his first term. After Bush's 2004 reelection, Rove was appointed deputy White House chief of staff. In October 2004, Rove testified before a federal grand jury regarding the leaking of national security information to a news reporter in an attempt to silence a critic of the Bush administration. On July 3, 2005, Rove was identified as the source of the leak in notes provided to Newsweek by Time magazine White House reporter Matthew Cooper.
