GET OVER YOURSELF, JAPAN!
iluv2fish put up an article by Robert Marquand, staff writer of The Christian Science Monitor, see http://bbs.chinadaily.com.cn/forumpost.shtml?toppid=309181&page=2 , which I quote: " .... Japan has shed much of its pacifist identity, sent troops to Iraq, and begun a quiet campaign to reposition opinion on formerly taboo subjects like missile technology and the dangers of an Asia with a North Korean nuclear program and a confident, wealthier China."
The article quotes an unnamed "senior Japanese official" whom they interpret with the following: "... due to a perception that China fuels "anti-Japanese sentiments" among its people, and is making "aggressive claims ... all over the Pacific.""
Aggressive claims! -- GET OVER YOURSELF, JAPAN!
Now, I don't know, but perhaps the Chinese government should redirect their missiles (away from Taiwan?) at the Diaoyudao Island group and practice their missile accuracy on the worthless lighthouse the Japanese brazenly erected on the largest of those rocky outcroppings from the Chinese continental shelf.
That seems like a better solution than leasing it to a group from Hong Kong, especially since the Japanese Foreign Minister has declared that, "... no one - Japanese or foreign - may visit", according to that article.
Try that, perhaps, for a solution " ... to remove the question that Senkaku was in some way a dispute," as the article quotes Japanese Foreign Ministry spokesman Hatsuhisa Takeshima. A literal no-man's land, good for nothing more than missile practice!
