Realestate prices

My husband and I live on the east coast and we think that the realestate prices are insane. Its almost like the rape and pilage of our generation by the baby boomers. As we were trying to find land or buy a home, we looked at old tax records it showed that many of the home owners had paid $100.00 or alot less and were selling their homes for $400,000-$600,000 and these are not even nice home! Come on! Is anyone else out there tired of the real- estate scam?

Cute name, I've heard prices are up over there! My parents bought their house for less than 40k and now it's like 4 times that amount! It is a nice house! We live in texas and prices are reasonable compared to other places, but the income is much less over here, so prices are still to high for us to buy a home. We're living with my mother, so you can't be in that bad of a situation!
Forclosed homes are a good way to go! Or make friends with a couple real-estate agents! Good luck!
