To my knowledge, yes you would need a cd writer for both. With the photos from your digital camera, you would first have to transfer them onto your computer via a usb cable then from the computer to a recordable cd. With the audio file, if you wanted to play that audio file in any cd player then you would have to burn it as an audio cd but if you wish to play it on an mp3 player then you would burn as a data cd. The photos would have to be a data cd. I hope that helped.

Yes you need a c.d. writer.Also you got to have a burning software like nero.Nero burning software is best as I use it without any problem.With nero you can also save or burn your digital picture to a recordable c.d.
