Recently, I like to eat bittergourd. I just wanna share some of my recipes, and wanna find out how others cook bittergourd.
(1) My favourite and simplest recipe is, just fry bittergourd with garlic. It's simple, yet it's really nice, coz this method will keep all the bitterness.
(2) Another method of cooking is soup. I just cook the bittergourd soup with chicken, or tofu, meatball. It's simple too. It's like drinking herbal tea actually. haha
(3) Fry egg with bittergourd.
Do you have any bittergourd recipes to share?

I don't eat bitter gourd but I know a variety of dishes using bitter gourd as a main ingredients. There's the sauteed bitter gourd with beaten eggs, pinakbet ( a regional delicacy here in the Philippines), bulanglang (another regional delicacy), and I know some people who would add it to paksiw na bangus (milkfish cooked in vinegar)

i am indian and we prepare many curries with it and we prepare snacks with it . there will be no bitterness in it after preparing any item .
i don;t like bitterness in it .so i will prepare curries with indian style without bitterness .
in one type of bitterguard curry , i first cook bitterguard (whole) with buttermilk 1 cup and turmeric 1 spoon and then i squeeze water in it and make pieces with removing seeds in it and i will fry those pieces in hot oil till they become brown colour .then i make curry with it. now i take 2,3 spoons oil and in it i add tadka, curry leaves, and add onion pieces and fry them. then i add fried bitterguard pieces, and fry in this for 3,4 minutes and add red chilli powder and salt and add besan 2,3 spoons and fry for 1 minute and remove.we can also add indian masala powder in it if we want.
and we can make many curries with it in my indian style. by squeezing water and by frying in hot oil and by adding besan(bengal gram powder) , there will no bitterness in it. otherwise there will be more bitterness in it.
i didn;t heard of the soup u told. will there be bitterness in it after u prepare .
