Lauren DID NOT go to Paris.

Looking back on it, Lauren should definitely have gone to Paris. But, hindsight is always better than foresight. It's difficult at that age to really know whether a romantic relationship will last. I do think that Laurent probably wasn't true to herself. You could tell she really wanted to go to Paris.

I am a huge fan of the Hills as Lauren (LC) was my favorite on Laguna so of course I followed her :) Reality TV is so hard to decipher. I agree with everyone that Lauren has ALWAYS been the level headed one that follows her dreams so I find it hard to believe she would turn down an internship in PARIS to spend the summer with Jason. I think that maybe she still went to Paris, maybe even WITH Whitney, the show just left that part out. Come on, it's not recording her every move. Either way, if she truly did decide not to go to Paris over a man (one shes not even with anymore) then I think she realizes it may be one of the biggest career mistakes she'll ever make.

I agree i think lauren has always had her head on straight and i do think not going to paris was the biggest mistake she could have made!!!! I hope MTV did pay her off lol. She would have had such a great time in paris and alot more avenues to explore with her career, but maybe thats what had to happen to get her away from jason. I dont like jason and i dont think he was right for her, she is to good for him.

I have thought about this question since the season ended and I ALMOST am thinking that the paris trip was never really offered to Lauren. Whitney worked really hard never was their an episode where she was 'in trouble' at work. The runway they had Whitney model the clothes when one model didnt show up. Could it be that Whitney was the one offered the Paris trip while mtv put a spin on it to better the spin? I just cant see Lauren making such a decision to stay and play in the sun with a boyfriend that didnt always make her happy over fullfilling her dreams. I could be wrong but that is what I have thought from day one on this situation. What do you guys think? Is that a feesible answer to what could have happened? I wouldnt put it past mtv that is for sure. Dont get me wrong I am addicted to its reality shows but I just wonder the authenticity of everything that is broadcast for the 'viewers pleasure'
