original movie vs re-make version of the movie

As we all know, there are lot of re-make version of the different movies worldwide. There's a japanese horror movie who recently had a english version. Apparently, the english version of the movie is somewhat more terrifying than the original version of the story..There are some factors why the re-make movie is more "good-to-see" than the usual one.
