Forgive and Forget / myLot

Do you believe that you can forgive someone who did something that hurt you and cannot forget what he/she have done to you? I admit that i forgive but i can't forget? What are your thoughts about it?

if someone hurts you, the relationship with that person never remains the same whether you forgive him/her or forget. Something always sizzles in your mind. So always utter your words carefully. Forget and forgive don't heal easily.

I can forgive and forget if it is something very minor but if they are constantly doing things to hurt me I will not forgive them and will end our friendship. I have forgiven one friend a lot of times and he said he would never do it again but he ended up doing the same thing over and over again so I stopped talking to him. At some point, you have to stop being so nice as people will take advantage of you big time and keep doing it if you are too nice.
