Lawsuit against a store?

I went to a store.....and got sick/food poisoning from food they had expired from 1-2years. Could a file a suit against that store? I know that there is s date on it and i should of seen it but. At the same time it's not a big supermarket, things that are 1-2years expired def. shouldnt be on the shelf. Also what type of lawyer would handle this type of case? And what is the possibility of me winning my case in front of a job? Anyone ever been through this?
